http://charmalarm.com/bv.php Majority of us foodies must have tried the unlimited buffet offered at Barbeque Factory situated at 100 feet road, Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. But I got a chance to visit Barbeque Factory this sunday when my husband who use to frequent this place for his team outings decides on this particular place for a family dinner to celebrate his Birthday.
http://greatstridesofneiowa.org/index.php?rest_route=/oembed/1.0/embed We reserve the table prior to going as can’t take chances on weekends. The Place was dimly lighted and the on table grill sections are non ac. The restaurant staff guided us to our table. Within few minutes after knowing about our preference of veg or non veg , they start putting both the veg and non veg grills on our live grill table. One have a choice of Mint Chutney, Chilly Chutney and Mayonnaise Sauce to choose as an accompaniments for one’s barbeque food. Dinner started with some sliced water melons.
The non vegetarians have Mutton Shikampuri Kababs, Barbeque Chicken Wings, Chicken Sheek Kabab and Chicken Hariyali kabab on the grill. The Golden fried prawns are fried after coated in a batter are very well cooked and the big juicy prawns are droolworthy for the vegetarians. The Chicken Wings and Kababs are medium spicy and are not rubbery at all.
The Vegetarians have a selection of Veg Shikampuri kabab ( light spiced and works as an perfect appetizer), Mayonnaise Potatoes ( Deep fried salted thin sliced potatoes topped with Mayonnaise), Dahi Kabab ( Hung curd and paneer Kabab with only green chilli to add some flavour – taste wise a little bland for me) and on the grill has Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Pineapple and Alu Murrabha ( Spiced Baby Potatoes ) are good. Honey Paratha was served along with the shikampuri kabab’s for both vegetarians and non vegetarians is nothing but layered paratha made out of maida is very filling so one can avoid finishing the whole paratha if one wants to enjoy one’s barbeque starters. As a Vegetarian view point I would have liked my barbeque starter to have an option of both Mushrooms and Cauliflower.
The Main Course for Non Vegetarians included Chicken Biryani, Murg Nawab, Mustard Fish Curry in a cashew and coconut cream paste ( sadly in this no mustard is used ), Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani ( Proper North Indian flavour with a mix of three dal)
The Main Course for Vegetarians included Veg Pulao, Bhindi Masala, Aloo Jeera, Kadai Paneer and Dal Lucknowi.
They also have Tomato Shorba, Green Salad, Masala cubed Green salad, Mashed Potato with chopped green chilli and coriander leaves, Pickles, Fried Green Chillies, Curd Rice and Raita available for all.
This time I got to try the main course as the veg starters are not that filling.
The Dessert was all simple with Sweet Curd, Gulab Jamun, Rosgulla, Chocolate Pudding (with eggs) , Chocolate Brownies (with eggs), Carrot pastries (with eggs), Three different flavours of Icecream and not to be missed Cotton Candy counter which was a must try for all the kids as well as adults.
As a vegetarians I may not visit for the next time unless they offer more varieties of Barbeque starter. And also I come to know from my husband that the varieties of starters as well as drink which they use to offer earlier was altogether stopped to be featured in the menu. The regular menu change every 3rd or 4th day.
