Storage Instruction/ Licious Tip –

  • Licious products are carefully sourced, selected, packed and delivered under stringent hygienic condition and scientific standards. They freshly prepare your ordered seafood or chicken and it’s recommended to cook the meat/seafood on the same day itself to let the culinary magic happen.
  • To be used within it’s best before date.
  • The products stay fresh when stored between 0 to 8 degree centigrade.
  • The tender meats were under tremendous pressure to perform, so be gentle with the cooking time and cooking temperature.
  • Best to cook with low heat and with lid on.
  • I have used this product, next day of the delivery after keeping it in dip freeze./defreeze.
  • I have removed it from the defreeze before two hour of cooking.

I prepared the Awadhi Murgh Keema Kebab for the lunch daba of my hubby. As morning’s were always chaotic, to prepare breakfast as well as lunch box so I always look for some easy way out where my task in hand can be completed within few minutes as there is a time crunch on week day’s mostly. Another crucial thing is that I am a pure vegetarian, so going to a butcher shop , placing order , stand there to catch unwanted glimpse of butchering, then again return with the meat/seafood, clean them, marinate them and then cook them. So all total of 7 steps if I want to cook non veg stuff for my family. With Licious , I just have to go through the one last step, i.e., cooking . The rest 6 steps are well taken care by the most amazing team behind Licious. So I just have to checkout their website through my system or by downloading the Licious app ( , then choose and order from the vast selection of Seafood and Meat. The delivery time is 90 minutes and cooking time is within 15 to 20 minutes. Also the best part is the marinade infuses wonderful and magical flavours to a piece of meat or seafood. So cooking non veg has became the simplest form of cooking for me with Licious.

Ingredients :

A Packet of Licious Awadhi Murgh Keema Kebab( Mine has 5 pieces)

Mustard Oil – 3 tbsp

Salt – a pinch

Onion – Thinly sliced ( as required)

Cucumber – Thinly sliced in any shape ( as required)

Fresh Coriander leaves – chopped ( a handful)

Birista – 2 tbsp of golden fried and crispy onion (readymade)

Cooking instructions ( Which I followed ):
1. Use a nonstick frying pan .
2. Place it on a fire stove on medium heat.
3. Add three tbsp of oil and swirl it around.
4. Once the oil is hot, add the kababs one by one into the pan.
5. Allow one side to cook up then turn over the chicken. (Mine took 10 to 15 minutes for each side)
6. Cook with the lid on, on a low fire.
7. Once browned, remove the chicken kebabs and place them onto a serving dish.
8. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves, birista and garnish with sliced fresh onion and cucumber.
9. Serve them hot with the accompanying dip’s.

Note :

Ideal cooking time: 20-30 minutes

Carefully cook them in a low heat and take care not to burn them by frying them for longer duration and in high/medium heat as the inside of the tikkies need to cook too.

I have used Coconut Coriander Birista  dip and Red Chilli Thecha dip to go with the tikkies.

Recipe for Coconut Coriander Birista  dip

Ingredients :

Dry Coconut/ Copra – 3 tbsp

Blanched and deseeded Tomato – 1 ( Keep tomato in boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove from the water and remove the skin – Blanching)

Birista / Golden crispy fried onions – 3 tbsp ( I have used readymade birista)

Fresh Coriander leaves – a hand full chopped ( Keep aside one tbsp to use for garnishing)

Garam Masala – a pinch

Salt to tate

Refine Oil – 2 tbsp

Thinly Sliced Onion and cucumber – as required

Method :

Make a thick paste by grinding the dry coconut, blanched and deseeded tomato, coriander  and birista without adding any water.

In a non stick frying pan, heat the oil. Add the prepared grounded masala, add salt and saute in a low heat till the masala is well cooked and you can see oil oozing above the sauted masala. Then add the garam masala and transfer in a small serving bowl. Use as rquired with any starter. You can keep the excess dip in freeze and use when needed.

Recipe for Red Chilli Thecha

Red chillies (fresh or dry) – 5 to 6
Garlic cloves –  7 to 8
Salt to taste
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Sesame seeds oil – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Cummin powder – a pinch
Soak the red chillies in water for about 5-6 hours.
Add chillies, garlic cloves and salt to grinder and make a thick paste without adding any water.
Mix the lemon juice, asafoetida and cumin powder to the paste.
Add the sesame oil to the paste and mix it well.
Serve with any starter.

Taste :  These Premium chicken mince Awadhi Murgh Keema Kebab flavoured with sundried white pepper, coriander greens and a hint of fresh green chilli were a delight to be relished by my hubby and his friends during lunch hour. According to them , the tikkies were sensational as these have a surprise filling of malai and manage to captivate them with the burst of subtle flavor and moist texture.

My Verdict : I will definitely opt for Licious whenever I am going to cook non veg.  And I have already started with recommending my seafood and meat lover friends to try Licious at least once as I am sure once one try licious they are bound to start ordering from them always.
