Sophisticated Interiors with awe inspiring facade, ‘ Delhi Highway’ the new entrant in Royal fine dining with focus in authentic north Indian and Delhi Cuisine ,located at 12th main Indira Nagar is ready to woo all the foodies and pure vegetarian’s of Bengaluru. Delhi Highway was launched on 25th July in this year and have two branches in Chennai and one in Mumbai.
Their Royal Thali is a crowd puller and is competitively priced. Mostly this place is going to be a vegetarian’s delight.
Have I told you yet that this place offers unlimited servings of each and every items which is a part of their thali. They specialize in alternating their menu to cater to pure Jain’s too with no onion and no garlic. They offer 2 valet parking’s and can accommodate 120 guests at a time. Recently they have started their parcel service too through food delivery channel. The whole menu was carefully curated by their executive chef Mr. Maheswar Prasad. This is a kid friendly place and kids bellow 12 years eat free. The Royal Thali is available only at lunch time everyday. A la Carte is available at both lunch and dinner everyday. In A la Carte menu one have a choice of dishes which have a fusion of Mexican Cuisine as well as delhi Cuisine. The Royal Thali don’t offer any fusion and is as authentic as it can. Every day they offer different set menu for the thali.
Monday to Friday they offer 4 types of starters, 4 main courses, One Dal, One Paneer, 2 types of Vegetable curry
Saturday to Sunday they offer 6 types of starters, 2 paneer preparations, one Dal and 2 types of vegetable curry
along with the Veg Biryani, Tandoor Roti, Lassi, Naan and 2 types of desserts every day as part of their Royal Thali
Within few weeks one can indulge in their Delhi style street food and snacks at evening time.

Sharing my experience of Lunch at Delhi Highway
Royal Reservation of Lunch at Delhi Highway
All the table’s have complimentary accompaniments like sweet amla pickle, Tangy and spicy Mango pickle and Fried and seasoned green chillies.
Fire roasted urad dal papad shaped into a cone and served with a green spicy coriander mint chutney,chopped onion and tomato.
Welcome Drink – Apple Mojito
A refreshing drink with apple chunks, Lemon chunks, Mojito syrup, Sprite, lemon juice and mint sprig is light and helps in digestion
Soup – Tamatar Dhaniya Shorba
A thin soup prepared with tomato pulp and flavoured with coriander, salt and black pepper is apt for appetizer
Dahi Bhalla Chaat – Soft and spongy bhalla soaked with thick fresh curd and garnished with sweet red chutney ,spicy green chutney , fried salted chana dal, Julianne of carrot beetroot tasted nice.
Pani Puri Shot’s – Perfect crispy puri’s with filling of green moong,dry salted boondi and black peas and served with tangy pani prepared with mint,, lime juice , salt and water in shot glasses.
Indo – Mexican Quesadillas – Wheat Tortilla filled with baked beans,paneer , bell peppers and chedar cheese and grilled afterwards
Whole Wheat Fulka Tacos – Wheat Tortilla filled with tomato salsa, red kidney boiled beans, cottage cheese, shredded chedar chesse, guacamole, sourcream and topped with parsley.
Broccoli N Pesto Tikki – Green Vegetables like fresh green peas, broccoli and beans minced mixed with basil leaves,finely chopped garlic, almonds, green chilly and shaped into tikki and coated with cornflour and deep fried in olive oil and served with pesto sauce on top
Charcoal Mushroom – Tandoori masala marinated button mushrooms grilled over charcoal and served with chopped coriander and green chilly.
Naram Dil Kebab – This is their fast moving item. Crispy Outside and melt in mouth texture inside, these kabab were prepared with slightly steamed fresh green peas,hung curd and cottage cheese and coated with grounded corn flakes. These are then deep fried and slightly spiced and little bit sour. These are served hot with afgani sauce,prepared with cashew paste and paneer.
Paneer Delhi Style – Succulent cubes of paneer in a cashew based delhi style preparation
Dal Delhi Highway – Kali dal / sabut black urad dal slow cooked with choicest spices and served with ghee tadka. Bliss in every spoonful.
Pindi Chana – Black Chickpeas cooked with various indian ground spices with a strong hing flavour
Methi Matar Malai – Fresh green peas and fresh methi leaves in a cashew nut base and fresh cream with a sweet flavour
Corn Palak – The most delicious preparation with steamed palak and sweet corn, sauted with ghee and served with sliced fresh ginger julianne.
One can’t stop finishing the whole bowl at one go
Tandoori Mini Kulcha – Whole wheat kulcha prepared over tandoor. These are surprisingly soft
Ghee Rice – Best quality steamed basmati rice sauted with ghee and served with birista,mint leaves and fresh Julianne ginger
Jalebi Rabdi – Thin and crispy roundels of Jalebi served with thick and Luscious dryfruit loaded rabdi . Very sinful yet irresistible
Gulab Jamun – Piping hot gulab jamun with soft inside and served with saffron and sugar syrup dots . Eye-catching preparation indeed.
Delhi Special Lassi – Thick slightly sweet delhi style lassi with rose flavoured rooh afza and dryfruits is served with a kulhad specially flown from Delhi.
I would definitely recommend this place which serves excellent fine dining experience with a great attentive service to both my vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian friends.
A word of caution – Please don’t waste much time in clicking the food pictures when you are served with your Royal Thali here, as it’s best to enjoy the real taste of food while it’s still hot 😉
