Burrito Bowl Festival – Let’s have a Bowl at Sancho’s|| Pioneer in authentic Mexican Cuisine

My first ever experience of indulging in guilt free single bowl tantalizing meal of Mexican Rice, refried beans, spiced  meat/ vegs, pico de gallo  & sour cream all together at the ongoing Burrito Bowl Festival – Let’s have a Bowl at Sancho’s Bangalore. And I am pleasantly surprised with the simple yet versatile flavours which tickled my taste bud’s as the authentic imported ingredients flown all the way from Maxico has truly manage to give me enticing experience of authentic mexican cuisine.


This festival was started on first week of august 2016 and will run till 30th September 2016.

About the Burrito Bowl Festival

The concept is about addition of new different elements to the existing Single bowl healthy quick meal . Eyes get floored by vibrant colors coming on the black slate along with cactus shaped hibiscus sugar dust.The Bowl is served with ranchero sauce, flour tortillas, Chipotle Butter smeared Charred Corn On Cob and garnish of cactus shaped tangy hibiscus sugar dust. One has to roll Corn on Cob over the cactus shaped hibiscus dust to get a tangy taste to corn on cob.The Burrito Bowl has a healthy option where in guest can chose for Healthy Super Grain Quinoa (at an extra price) instead of Mexican rice.


The extensive menu with influence of real mexican stuff is the brain child of Chef Vikas Seth,Culinary Director of Embassy Group,ELEPPL , Lounge Hospitality LLP and Sanchos / SingKong.
Sancho’s Burrito Bowl Menu
The Burrito Bowl has number of choices for both vegetarian’s and non- vegetarians.
For all Vegetarian lovers they have some interesting choices as well, starting with Charred pineapple guacamole, where in avocado is mashed along with onion, tomatoes, serrano chilli, cilantro and charred pineapple and served with Mexican Rice, Chipotle butter charred Corn on Cob and Flour Tortilla. I personally recommend this Bowl to try out here.
Highly potent habanero chilli tossed Cottage Cheese along with pimentos is a protein rich vegetarian Burrito Bowl.
Zucchini, Corn & Jalapenos Burrito bowl has combination of zucchini, yellow squash, corn kernels and sliced jalapenos tossed in smokey chipotle.
The last but not the least is their Epazote Mushrooms & Bell pepper Burrito Bowl, where in fresh button mushrooms, bell peppers & sliced jalapenos are tossed in the special Mexican herb epazote.
The most relished Smokey Chipotle Chicken, where in chipotle in adabo sauce is used to marinate the chicken and than cooked along with onions.
There is a lip smacking Mexican barbecue cured pork, which is broiled and pulled.
Then comes the seafood lovers Serrano spiced grilled prawns Burrito Bowl and Beer Battered Fish Burrito Bowl.
8hrs Braised Guajillo Lamb is oven baked and pulled to give superb meaty flavor.
There is a Homemade Chorizo Burrito Bowl, where the pork mince is cured for a week with Mexican chillies, herbs and vinegar and cooked on high flame to give the smokey flavor.
Everyones favorite Chilli Con carne is done with chicken or tenderloin options. There is also Arbol chilli infused sliced Tenderloin to try from.

Don’t forget to try their much in demand sinful Tres Leches. This white pristine beauty is prepared with over night soaked sponge cake in a mix of heavy cream,condensed milk and evaporated milk with a vanilla, heavy cream and sugar icing and garnished with a mint sprig.
