No one can say no to a sweet called ladoo.
Childhood memories comes alive with these ladoo’s carefully and painstakingly prepared by my mother and grand mother.
Presenting Coconut and sesame seeds ladoo
Recipe of Coconut and Sesame Seeds Ladoo
1 cup of sesame seeds
3/4 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of desiccated coconut
1 tsp of ghee ( I have used homemade)
Green Cardamon powder – 1 tsp
Black Pepper – 1 tsp (Freshly grinded)
Take a deep bottomed pan and heat it.
Dry roast sesame seeds and desicated coconut till you begin to get a nice aroma.
Add 1 tsp ghee mix well to cook on low heat.
Then add the sugar.
Sugar will melt and the mixture will becomes sticky, making it harder to stir but don’t stop. Keep stirring gently on low heat.
Continue to stir till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Add the greem cardamom powder and the black pepper powder.
Transfer this mixture to a plate.
Wait till slightly cool down and cool down a little to handle.
Grease your palm with little ghee or water.
Take small portions and roll them to balls.
Then enjoy this sweet delicacy.
