Dryfruit stuffed Apple Paratha

I usually get bore eating apple as a fruit only rather I use it in my cooking so as to still use them and enjoy eating them.

This stuffed apple paratha is a recipe apt for the fussy kids who don’t eat apple like my daughter . So I invent this recipe to include apple in an exciting way and my kid eat these paratha without any complain.

Recipe of Dryfruit stuffed apple paratha


Apple – 2 ( Remove the skin and grind after discarding the seeds)

Whole wheat flour / atta- 1 cup

All purpose flour/ maida – 1/2 cup

Cinnamon powder- 1 tsp

Milk – as required

Salt – a pinch

For stuffing –

Cashew – 1/4 cup

Sugar – 6 tbsp

dessicated coconut – 1/4 cup

Green cardamom – 1 tsp (remove the skin)

Melted Butter and refine oil (1:1 ratio) – as required

Greated cheese – for serving (optional)

Garlic chutney (any other pickle) – for serving (optional)


First grind the cashew, sugar and green cardamom. Remove this powder and mix with the dessicated coconut. The stuffing is ready.

Then prepare a not very soft dough using the grinded apple, atta, maida, cinnamon powder , milk and salt. Use the milk as required to bind the dough. Slowly add the milk as little as possible and prepare a smooth but not very soft dough.

Keep the apple dough covered for 10-15 minutes.

Then take a small quantity of dough required to prepare one paratha.

Take some atta in both your palm so as to dust your palms with the atta. Make a ball using the dough and then press the dough between your both the palms and stretch the dough using your finger tips till you are left with a little round shaped dough. Then take one tbsp of the stuffing and keep in the center of the dough and seal the dough completely . Then flatten the stuffed dough on the chakla (flaten circular board) with a gentle hand. Then dust some more atta on the stuffed dough and using the balan(rolling pin) roll out the paratha.

Then heat a flat tawa. Gently place the paratha and keep the heat low. Then flip it after a few seconds and press it using a flat spatula. Wait till the paratha starts to fluff up a little. Then pour some butter and refine oil around the edges of the paratha and flip it carefully. Wait till both the side get well coated with the oil and butter.

Then remove the paratha from the tawa and prepare the rest paratha likewise.

Serve the paratha with some grated cheese and garlic pickle.
