buy furosemide 40 mg uk Hi All,
I would like to introduce you to Radhika Shenoy-Prabhu, one of the winners of the FFH Vegan Cook off event on my facebook food group Food from the Heart , that ended on Jul 15th, 2015. She is the founder of blog – www.experimentswithfood.in . She has laid out all her recipes in a way that can be easily followed by cooking novices or veterans. She exprtise in multicuisine recipes. Please feel free to explore her blog to check out her easy to follow recipes and leave comments on her site. I had an opportunity to interview her and have included relevant excerpts for your reference.
1.Me :How did your journey begin?
Her : I always loved cooking since my school days. Summer vacations were always fun times helping mom in the kitchen and with time the interest in food and cooking kept growing. After my marriage, I got introduced to variety of tastes due to my foodie husband who likes trying new food whenever he gets a chance. Plus not to forge the TV shows featuring Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Donna Hay, Vikas Khanna and many more who always inspire me to experiment with different flavours and tastes in my kitchen
2. Me: How do you find time to manage your blog and how many hour’s you spend per day/week on an average on your blog?
Her : Honestly, when you like doing something, you never really think about the effort or hours you put in it. Whenever I feel that my dish has come out good, I try to take some good photos and post the recipes when time permits.
3.Me: Please tell us about your blog and what’s the idea behind choosing your blog name?
Her : I call my blog as experimentswithfood as many of the recipes are a fusion of Indian and other cuisines. Food plays a central role in the cultural identity of people. It defines us. With the changed pace of life we have already made significant down payments to some loss of our food identity. My blog is a step towards treasuring the authentic family recipes, mostly south Karnataka cuisine from where I belong to. In my blog, I concentrate on how to eat healthy without spending too much time in the kitchen allowing to experiment with different cuisines and tastes with easily available ingredients.
4. Me: What’s the biggest challenge you faced in maintaining your blog?
Her : Time is every blogger’s worst enemy. Nobody has more time than anyone else. We just have different commitments and demands on the time we have. What gets scheduled gets done. So I always have a day’s schedule made well in advance and I set aside some time for my blog too.
5. Me: What’s your hobby apart from blogging?
Her: Gardening and travelling. I have a small kitchen garden where I grow my own herbs like basil, thyme, sage, turmeric, curry leaves, lemon grass and some veggies like spinach and tomatoes
6. Me: Have you got the support you need from your family members to run your blog?
Her : Blogging just takes a little bit of commitment and help from a good system. My good systems are my family and friends. I initially started with my facebook page facebook/experimentswithfood posting the recipes. My husband later felt that I should start a blog rather than posts on facebook. Thus came my blog www.experimentswithfood.in. It’s been a year since I started this blog.
7. Me: Do you love to cook or the blogging aspect give you the push to dish out creative dishes?
Her : I love to cook for my family and friends. Also when I watch cooking shows on TV, it inspires me to make something creative. When the creative ideas in my daily cooking turn out good, I post them on my blog.
8. Me: We have heard that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for the future bloggers who are interested in making money from the blog?
Her : Blogging is a way to keep my hobby alive and spread my thoughts and ideas among people. I haven’t explored the area of making money from the blog yet. But yes, if I get a chance, I would definitely like to give it a shot.
9. Me: Please give some Food Photography tricks to our members here.
Her: Presentation of food is very important. They say you first eat food with your eyes. So making food appealing in a photograph is very much necessary. Also try to photograph in natural daylight than during nights or using artificial lighting.
10.Me: Please share your inputs about the group and suggestions to help us improving the group each day.
Her: Food From Heart is a very enthusiastic and lively group. Hats off to the admin and moderators for doing such a great job. I am a member of many food groups, but should admit that this one is the most active amongst them and very well managed. I am so happy to be a part of this group .smile emoticon
