Meet Shobha Keshwani, one of the winners of the Vegan Cook off

Hi All,
I would like to introduce you to Shobha Keshwani, one of the winners of the Vegan Cook off event on my facebook food group Food from the Heart , that ended on Jul 15, 2015. She is the founder of blog – http://www.shobhasfoodmazaa.com/ . She has laid out all her recipes in a way that can be easily followed by cooking novices or veterans. Please feel free to explore her blog to check out your favorite recipes and leave comments. I had an opportunity to interview her and have included relevant excerpts for your reference.

1.How did your journey began?
Any inspirations?
It happened so unexpectedly I must say. This was in the year 2009, when I was visiting my family in India. My neices who are fond of my food suggested why not I showcase my recipes and at the spur of the moment we created a blog and rest is history. My family and friends have been a great inspiration always.

2. How do you find time to manage your blog and how many hour’s you spend per day/week on an average on your blog?
Well I have plenty of free time since my 2 sons are grown up, married and well settled in USA. I give at least a few hours to blogging everyday as cooking is my passion.

3.Please Tell us about your blog and what’s the idea behind choosing your blog name?
My blog is not restricted to any particular cuisine. Since I have travelled and lived in many countries I love to experiment the regional cuisines from those places. Well the blog name just came to my mind in a flash. As I mentioned earlier in the post when I created this blog with my neices we were thinking of a nice name .. and this name Food Mazaa came into my mind. Initially it was called Food Mazaa but after a few years I moved to my own dotcom domain and re-named my blog as Shobha’s Food Mazaa.

4. What’s the biggest challenge you faced in maintaining your blog?
The blog was a big challenge for me as I was not aware of many things. As time flew by I started to learn and improve in many ways… and still learning.

5.What’s your hobby apart from blogging?
I love to paint. (oil on canvas) I have done about 30 paintings so far.I started this very recently in Brazil as I it had been a dream since my childhood.

6. Have you got the support you need from your family members to run your blog?
Yes, my family is very supportive, specially my dear husband. He always patiently waits until I finish clicking the pictures of the food. He is such a great sport to try out anything and everything that I make for the blog. He is my best critic.

7. Do you love to cook or the blogging aspect give you the push to dish out creative dishes?
Cooking has always been my passion since childhood. I used to sit by my grandma and watch while she cooked.

8. We have heard that blogging is an easy way to make money online. Do you have some tips for the future bloggers who are interested in making money from the blog?
I have no idea at all about money making as I don’t have adsense in my blog. I only blog for my own satisfaction. When my fans and followers try out my dishes, comment and share their views, their appreciation is more than money for me.

9. Please give some Food Photography tricks to our members here.
I will be very honest and admit that my food photography is not very good. I still have to learn a lot and so I cannot throw any light on this aspect.

10. Please share your inputs about the group and suggestions to help us improving the group each day.
The group is really a very nice platform for bloggers to interact and share their work. I am really happy to be a part of such group.

Her wining entry was #FFHVeg Apple & Kiwi Tarts. You can look up the entry on FB search box.
