One Evening at Sanctum Club

The iconic Sanctum Club managed by Baba Chandok is always the talk of the town for it’s trendiest and wildest DJ nights as well as up-scale ambiance. Earlier the place was only accessible by the exclusive Club Membership but now this place is open for all but make sure you are dressed well. Recently I got an invite by one of my friend to come for the most famous Ladies Night (Sanctum offers all ladies unlimited complimentary wine from 8PM to 11PM)which is on every Wednesday. This nightclub is a part of the Chancery Pavilion. The club has a separate entry point and well guarded by the bouncers.

The entrance looks absolutely beautiful and once inside the club, the dinner buffet was kept on the right side. The club is spacious offering both cozy as well as group seating arrangements. The left side had a dedicated section for the DJ’s. The well stocked bar managed to keep everyone well occupied with the non stop mock tails and cocktails. They had wide selection of liquors all around the world.

After seating at the table assigned exclusively for us, we chose to try few of the dishes which were not a part of the dinner buffet that night. Even if the place was not crowded that night, service was really slow and we keep waiting for the food and the drinks.

I ordered two mocktails , though looks good but taste wise I was not impressed at all.

The cocktail saves the evening.

From Starters we tried Baby Corn Manchurian, Veg Pizza, Paneer Tikka lababdar , Green Peas Tikkies and  from the Veg menu and from the non veg menu there were Diced Chicken in Lemon grass, Schezwan chicken,Murgh malai tikka and Shami Kabab.

Green Peas Tikkies were really good and paired well with the beet root chutney. The Thin crust veg pizza’s with very less mixed veg toppings and more cheese were quite filling and looking at the dismal buffet options we keep on munching on these slice after slice. Paneer Tikka was not soft enough and quite bland.

Dinner Buffet Spread

Soup – Tomato Shorba

Meat Salad, Green mixed Salad

Plain Raita and Curd Rice

Main Course – Subz Miloni, Paneer Do Pyaza, Chilly Veg, Kadhai Veg,  Veg Fried Rice and Dal. (Veg)

Kadhai Chicken, Sweetcorn chicken, Chicken Biryani , Motton Sukha , Methi Murg and Dal (Non Veg)

One have the options of Roti/naan or plain rice to pair the curry.

I chose to go with the live Pasta counter as it was decent with a choice of white or red sauce and penne pasta cooked with choicest exotic vegetables.

Cake, Malpua, Chocolate based dessert and mixed cut fruits.

We all liked the malpua and the cut fruits. But rather disappointing desserts on offer.

According to my experience over here, no point in expecting decent grub in Buffet menu here. Better option is to order from the ala carte menu and order one drink from the cocktail section.

It’s high time to get a proper PR team to handle the esteemed Blogger’s Review activity rather then assigning the same work to one of the most unprofessional and notorious Blogger (I hope my message is loud and clear to this person whom the message is intended)- This is my sincere request to the owner of this club.
