RRoyal Rajasthan is a pure vegetarian restaurant and is located on Sarjapur road, Bangalore. All the preparations were without onion and garlic and with ample use of hing and jeera.
This restaurant is growing only on its reputation and word of mouth recommendations. This is a place where people get value for money food along with a silent ambiance to relish the cuisine. This place is also very popular among the nearby corporates. No one can miss trying them for delightful and authentic experience straight from the lands of Rajasthan. ” where one can experience simplicity and taste in food. All their ground spices were specially sourced from Bikaner and hand grinded by one jat lady. Also they source their pampad and ker shangri from rajasthan.
Thy offer a variety of special thali’s & unlimited thali’s at very pocket friendly prices. They have daily changing menu with dal bati churma and dahi vada constant in the menu.
They also actively deliver around the neighborhood with platforms like swiggy and goodbox.
RRoyal Rajasthan recently completed 5 years on 1st October(They started their operation on 1st October,2011). And some of us were invited by the team of The BlueBeans to join the celebratory lunch and experience the Royal festivity. They offered a special buffet at 50% OFF of their regular price.

When we first enter the place, you can feel the warmth of the place as it’s very homely kind of place with courteous staff’s and the owner himself supervising and welcoming the guests himself. They offer both dining tables and floor-seating options. Without any second thought we chose to sit at the comfortable traditional floor – seating complete with rugs and cushions. The rajasthani songs played at the place completes the whole set up. The attentive gesture of the owner of the place to each and every customers there is sure to makes one feel invited here and one starts to miss his or her family .
The home style buffet was quite inviting and it’s better to order for any cool drinks before starting the meal.
Salads – Moong Pineapple salad( Cucumber, moong sprouts and pineapple) and raw papaya salad were decent.
Starters – The Dal Kachoris, Dahi Bade, Moong Papdi chaat and alu corn tawa tiki were fantastic.
Main course – Famous Dal Baati Churma.
Accompanying Curries and dry sabji – Aloo Subji in tomato gravy (Well cooked and well spiced potato, simple yet so tasty) ,Rajasthani Gatta (Luscious spicy curd based gravy and some steamed besan gatta – delicious in every mouthful), Methi Matar Malai( soft paneer cubes in a rich cashew based gravy and fresh methi leaves cooked – My most loved preparation) and Bhindi Kurkure ( thinly sliced bhindi tossed in choicest spices and besan and deep fried to perfection – definitely a hit with the crowd)
Rice and Rotis – The desi ghee laden bajra khichdi, plain regular khichdi and kadi managed to impress me. Pair those curries with Veg Pulao,rice, hot phulka smeared with ghee, masala puri, methi paratha, Missi Roti and Puran Poli.
If you still missing the mandatory pickles and chutneys. Not to worry as they have taken care to stock up on mouthwatering mirchi Achar and spicy green chutney.
– Amazing Moong Dal Halwa, Bikaneri Moti Pak, Ras Malai, Rasmalai, fruit custard and puran poli .
We also tried a sample of Ker Sangri which was not a part of thali that day. I loved the tangy taste of it. This dish was considered exotic and rare to find every where and in every season.
We ended our meal with sugar coated fennel’s.
Those diner’s who are basically from Rajasthan just uttered these words” Ghar Ki Yaad AA Gayi”. Though I am yet to visit Rajasthan but a glimpse of Rajasthani foos served with utmost love is overwhelming for me.
