This place is the pit stop for quick yet lip smacking food suited to every mood. People generally tend to stick with the regular kind of food offered and seldom wants to experiment and change their preferences by trying out something unique. But after trying out the unheard of dishes here, they are bound to love few of the dishes here.
Recently I got a chance to be a part of the Bloggers Table to try out few of their dishes and beverages being offered. We were greeted by Nidhi ,the owner of the place. When I told here that the name of the outlet sounds like Foodie, she told me the reason of using ‘e’ as the alphabet happens to be the starting letter of her kid’s favourite Cartoon Movie. The place was started eight months back and manage to create good buzz as I was surprised to see few known personalities choosing to stop there for a quick bite while enjoying the pleasant ambiance and fun decor while seeing their food freshly prepared at the open kitchen.
Here are the details of the coolers and dishes which we tried there –
go to link Coolers –
http://hannahaustin.co.uk/550-2/ Cranberry Mojito – Refreshing but with a strong flavour of Cranberry juice and lemon juice
Fresh basil and Mint fusion Cooler – This drink was customized and was ordered by one of us and I actually like the subtle flavour
Icecream Shakes/ Dessert Shakes –
Paan Shot – It’s Food-e Special paan shot prepared with fresh paan and rose gulkand mixed with vanilla milkshake with added candied fennel and sweet beetle nuts . This drink was loved by all because of the intense flavour of pan which manages to kick a punch.
Brownie Cinnamon Twist – Chocolate milkshake prepared with eggless chocolate brownie with a hint of cinnamon.
This Place does not offer any desserts any more because when they first introduced two interesting freshly made desserts, there was no taker for the desserts as people prefer to go with their preferred coolers and starter / main course.
Corn Bhel Nachos – Crunchy Nachos with sweet corn, chopped onions tomatoes and green chilli tossed with the in-house tangy tamarind sauce. The must try here.
Food-E wok tossed chicken – Spicy with a little sweetness from orange the bite sized succulent chicken pieces were tossed in the in-house secret spicy sauce.
Hot garlic crispy Potatoes – Crispy Potato fingers were tossed with a spicy and sweet garlic sauce.
Masala French fries – Potato fingers tossed with little spicy cajun spices. I didn’t like it. They need to work on it.
Fish Koliwada – Fish prepared in the famous Mumbai koliwasa style was crunchy and lipsmacking
Crispy Fried Prawn – Tiger prawns battered with the secret spices and then fried to crispy perfection. Every Non-vegetarians loved it.
Wraps (Dosa / Tawa Paratha/ 9″ sub rolls) –
Choose the type of wraps as well as the fillings
Achari paneer with Tawa Paratha– Grilled Paneer cubes with pickle spice , onion slices and sliced bell peppers
Chettinadu chicken with dosa – Chettinadu style chicken cooked with black pepper and curry leaves served inside dosa. A real innovatice and interesting twist with the regular Dosa fillings.
Black Channa burger – It’s a veg burger, where patty was made of grilled black channa. The patties were dry and the whole dish was disappointing.
Chicken Kheema burger – Chicken Kheema simmered with north indian kadai spices were filled inside patties and served with fresh salad.
Main Course –
Rice Bowl –
Palak Paneer Rice Bowl – Flavoured basmati rice with rich gravy of palak and soft paneer cubes. The most recommended dish here. One can’t stop eating the best Palak Paneer here.
Kerala Chicken Rice Bowl – Kerala style boneless chicken curry boiled with black pepper ,green chilli , coconut milk and curry leaves served with a bed of flavourful basmati rice.
Kadai Vegetables Pasta – Penne Pasta tossed in boiled mixed vegetables with seasonings of North Indian kadhai spices (onion, tomato, ginger and garlic). Simple yet flavourful.
Kadai Chicken Pasta – Penne Pasta tossed with boneless chicken chunks cooked with generous north indian kadai spices.
Overall an afternoon well spent in trying out the most interesting combination of fusion food. I hope they continue to maintain the quality of the ingredients and their in- house sauces. Hope they work on few of their unimpressive dishes and replace those with some new dishes. Wishing them all the very best.
