Work Life Bank Balance – 4th Edition of LLOYD SHEROES Summit 2016 Reimagining the Blueprint is all about celebrating working independent woman on a grander scale and I got an exclusive invite from BlogAdda to attend the event.This August  LLOYD SHEROES Summit 2016 scheduled across 3 cities – Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. This is the fourth edition of the SHEROES Summit and BlogAdda was their blogging partner! LLOYD Washing Machines, Paytm, Monster, were the Sponsors. Partners for the event were Indiaspark,, parentune and ShethePeople TV. This is for the first time , I got a chance to attend this much talked about event, focussing on Women.

With events ranging from speeches from notable personalities to networking, Sheroes Summit is one stop destination for all startup enthusiasts and working women to come together and empower the ecosystem.The theme for India’s largest forum for women professionals is Work Life Bank Balance and focus on the core belief of connecting women with economic opportunities and work-life redesign; to meet one’s individual needs and tap into the #FutureOfWork.

SHEROES’ core philosophy is to help women professionals gain access to any and all opportunities that they may need or want, from work-from-home positions, to corporate jobs and business prospects. SHEROES provides women access to career resources, information and community sharing. According to them, all women should be able to attain success in their careers and on their own terms.

The Summit was on 20th August, 2016, from 9 am to 5 pm at Hotel Lalit, Kumar Krupa Road, Bengaluru.

The Registration Process was over between 8:30 am to 9:30 am.Over 300 women from diverse field had come to be a part of this summit. The Introduction Started at 9:30 am where Shreya Krishnan , MC for the event gave us an insight of the event. According to her , Let learning growth and sharing be your guiding principle.



The Summit started with a bang by Harsha Kumar, Principal,Lightspeed India Partners Advisors in a fireside chat, who gave us an insight of her career journey. According to her, it’s you who has to take a call in your career progress, don’t let other’s to call the shot’s.


Then at 10:45 am to 11:45 am , CXO Panel enthralled us with some useful discussion.


Mr. Amit Somani, Managing Partner Prime Ventures talked about Reaching out to the targeted consumers,choose the best decision and figure out one’s skill sets.Ready for new challenges in one’s career.


Anita Kakar, Company Secretary , Lloyd Group shared her experience. To balance work, life,family, spirit, yourself, one has to believe in herself. Keep learning new things in your job and never stop learning.

Saroja Yeramilli, Founder & CEO, Melorra talked about – Sabbatical makes one enjoy relaxing time with the family. If you have a sense of humor then it’s not difficult to balance work and life. Time to train man in changing the attitude towards working woman.

Regional languages ,Data management and IT for women are the next big things in the women career space.

#workfromhome is not the most optimal choice, it won’t take you to the CEO’s chair but will help you stay connected as shared by Sairee Chahal, Founder of Sheroes.


Then comes the Tea Break from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.

After the Tea Break times come for discussion of Future of Work from 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm with the three panelists.


Sakshi Vij, Founder & CEO, Myles talked about creating new roles, finding committed people and depending upon individual and collaboration.

Sampad Swain, Founder,Instamojo talked about – Every company exists because of growth and because of the employees working at the back end. Also he talked about merging technology to get more benefit.

Kavita BC , Founder of PorteaMedical talked about using mix of technology,techniques and skills.

Srivatsan Chari, Co-founder,Cleartax talked about – Putting same amount of efforts whether one is working from home or from office.

Dhanya Rajendran, Founder, The News Minute talked about – Flexibility to the employees should be the main focus of employer’s.

There was also an opportunity desk where one can have an one to one discussion with the HR team of Sheroes to get starting with the employment.


The kiosk by Monster, help the woman to register with Monster job search portal and they offered a miniature soft toy version of monster to all the ladies to help them in keeping their kid’s engaged.


Then we took a break for lunch for one hour.

The next up was Lightning Pitches by Three entrepreneurial women at 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm, where entrepreneurs had to pitch their business ideas to be funded.


Hemlatha, a budding entrepreneur who intends to bridge the purchase gap between urban and rural,presented her business ‘ Under 499’  a 49 to 499 store where all products were priced under Rs. 499. She talked about her plan of offline affiliate partners and focus on traditional marketing.


Then Comes a fresh MBA graduate, who talks about her healthy full of fiber pulpy smoothie Drink Nutritious, this drink comes in four flavours and naturally sweetened.


Then the most fun and therapeutic session by Ranjani Santhaman, Founder & Designated Partner Pallindrome Concepts and Solutions LLP. In her session it was all about experience freedom, focus on body and mind through dance medium. This was a part of expressive art Therapeutic movement. You come on top of everything is the learning one took from this session.


Themost intense interactive session was with Vatsala Srivastava, Director and Editor, Bindi Bottoms who enacts the real life stories of real woman. Her session stroked a cord with each woman present at the summit.Her main aim was to Believe, Represent, Globalize, Localize and Democratize the real story of woman. Her session’s opening line was, ‘ Pain in Life which can’t be fixed by band aids or chocolates. Never apologize for the twinkle and smile  – a poetry by Sarah Kay

It is a Summit that  gives you insights and ideas for life. I feel lucky that I got a chance to attend this summit in Bengaluru and it’s an life changing experience for me to bond with so many women who have their own struggle and success stories. The parting line’s by one of the panelist – You have to hack it, Channelize your potentials. Discuss about your specialty.
